A site log your clients can trust, and your officers will actually use.
Replace the paper book at every site with one searchable record. Entries are numbered and time-stamped by the program, tied to the officer who wrote them, and cannot be changed afterwards.
What goes in the book
The security starting point comes ready to use, and you can change every list in Settings.
- Patrol checks with the result and whether it was on foot, by vehicle or on CCTV
- Visitors and contractors with company and person visited
- Incidents such as trespass, theft, alarm activation, property damage, first aid and fire
- General notes for handovers and anything else
- Day and night shifts, set by the time the entry is reported
What it fixes
“Who wrote that, and when?”
Every entry carries its occurrence number, time, shift, officer name and staff number, filled in by the program, not typed.
Pages that go missing or get “tidied”.
Nothing can be edited or deleted in the program. A correction is a new entry linked to the first, and the whole thread prints in order.
Client reports that take a day.
The monthly summary totals entries by type, category and shift for any site, and everything exports to Excel.
Alarm events that never reach the log.
Your alarm monitoring or tracking platform can add entries directly through the connection feature, marked with the system that sent them.
Safeguarding for security companies
Site logs hold client premises, access arrangements and staff names. They deserve protection beyond a login screen.
- Entry text, locations and details are encrypted in the database file
- One book per site, with access given to named people only
- An audit log of sign-ins, exports and backups
- No public sign-up: an administrator adds every person
Fits alongside your other systems
Alarm monitoring and vehicle or asset tracking platforms can send events through the connection feature, using one key per system. Everything exports to a spreadsheet for client reporting.
What it is not
BastionOB is the occurrence book. It is not a rostering, payroll or alarm monitoring system, and it does not replace the reports your clients require. It makes the underlying record dependable.
